6:00pm         Awards Program

7:30-9:00     Music and dancing

New parents and band members may be wondering what to wear and where to sit.  This is a celebration, a special occasion, so we ask for dress up attire.  Boys wear anything from dress slacks, shirts, and ties to khakis and golf shirts.  Girls wear dresses, skirts, or dress pants.  We try not to wear jeans.

Tables on one side of the room are reserved for band members and ninjas only.  They will have balloons on them.  There are also reserved tables for the band staff.  All other tables are open seating for family members.  We will have “parent ushers” to assist with seating.

Adults can have drinks in the hotel bar; we just ask that you do not bring them into the banquet room.  Some parents like to wait in the bar area during the dance portion of the evening.

We look forward to a great celebration!

Syracuse Party Booth, once again, will be there for the evening at a drastically reduced price.  We will have a place for donations near their table.  Please give, if you can.

If you have any questions or did not receive your invitation, please contact Nancy at ncassella1@verizon.net

Student Accounts

Benchmark 5 - Final Payment was due on October 15th.

All members should have a minimum of $500 in their account.  If you are in the process of fundraising or signed up to work the Dome, you can subtract this from your benchmark.  Just email Maureen about this so she knows.

Payment must be received by November 1st to have guests allowed to attend the End of Season Banquet.

If you plan on participating in the Winter Season your Fall Fees must be paid.

Final statements will be sent out this week. Members participating in the Winter Season will have balances rolled over to the Winter Account.

If you have any questions concerning your student account, or if you would like to know the current balance in your account during the off season please contact the Student Accounts Coordinator:  Maureen Wood at wood820@yahoo.com .

All Seniors - Please note that you will be kept on the current list of e-mail recipients until graduation in June and therefore will continue to receive periodic e-mails concerning the Boosters during the Winter season.  At that point your information, along with those of your parents/guardians, will be transferred to our Alumni lists.

Those parents who still have members participating will remain on the standard lists.

SU BAND DAY - It is that time of year again and we have been invited to be a part of Syracuse University's "Band Day" at the Carrier Dome!  Bands from all over New York State have been invited to come together on Saturday, November 14th to rehearse together, meet and fellowship with, and then perform alongside one another and the Syracuse University Marching Band during halftime at the Clemson game!

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get the "collegiate band" experience for a day, meet other band members from around the state, talk with college band members about what it is like to stay involved in marching band past high school, and just have a blast watching some great football and traditions!

Participation is FREE for all band members and tickets to the game are offered to any friends or family members at an extremely discounted rate (see information below on how to reserve your ticket).  At this moment, we are still waiting to be assigned a kick-off time for the game so we don't have a time-table for you, but we will let you know ASAP!  Plan to spend most of the day at the Dome and, thanks to our great supporter, Mr. David Perry (Director of Fine Arts), transportation will be provided for participating band members by the District!

This performance is not mandatory, but it is open to all members - guard, percussion, and wind players!  We will perform in our uniforms alongside bands from throughout the state, as well as the SUMB, and will hold four short rehearsals leading up to the event (RSVP for dates).  Music and videos of work (for guard) are available now and will be sent to you as soon as you RSVP (contact Ms. Harris - aharris@liverpool.k12.ny.us).

So if you are interested in being a part of Band Day 2015, please contact Ms. Harris (aharris@liverpool.k12.ny.us) to reserve your spot today!

Fundraising:

There are still plenty of Midas Oil Change Coupons left from this season's fund raiser.   Coupon sell for $20 and $10 will be credited to your student account for each sold.  Coupons expire 5/31/16.  If interested, contact Joan Mashayekhi @   a-mash@verizon.net.

Dome Sign-up

The Boosters staff a concession stand at the Carrier Dome for all SU home football games and basketball games. We are fortunate to have this stand as this is the single biggest contributor over $20,000 a year to the General Fund and is key in keeping the participation fee at a minimum. As such we need to keep the stand staffed properly for all events or we risk losing the stand.

Due to low staffing numbers at the past few games, the Dome has moved us to smaller stands that do not bring in nearly as much profit. It is important that we keep our original stand as it is one of the best placed stands for both football and basketball to bring in ultimate profit.

We are responsible for preparing all the food that will be sold, fully staffing the stand during each scheduled event, and cleaning up afterwards. This can be a lot of fun and beneficial for your student account.

Workers earn $6/hour. For a typical football game workers earned around $42 and for basketball it’s around $30. Workers must be at least 16 years of age (this is a Dome rule, not ours) and family and friends can work towards your account.

Band members are encouraged to work games that do not conflict with band, and guard members are encouraged to work times between fall and winter season performance days.

Yes Family and friends even Alumni can work for your account.

New This Year!......Families that work 5 different games earn a $50 bonus in their student account.

We still have several openings for the games on

11/2 (14 openings)

11/8 (manager, money manager and 11 openings)

If your child is 16 or over and wants to work for his/her account but transportation is an issue....we can help!  Many parents would be willing to transport if they are working the same game.  Contact Becky or Wendy to discuss.

Winter Guard Parents this is a great way to get a head start on your participation fee before the Winter Season starts.

Please contact Becky Clifford @ 751.2075 or Wendy Solberg @ 436-6152 if you are interested in signing up to work a game.

Sign up on-line for a Dome shift @ http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0b48a4a62da7f94-dome OR

contactBecky/Wendy through our Dome e-mail @ lhsmbbdome@gmail.com OR sign up in the DOME book at the end of practices on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

If you have never managed or money managed but are interested in doing so, see Becky Clifford or Wendy Solberg to get trained and booster board approved.
