Winterguard Tryouts Tomorrow

Yes! We have practice space for our guards secured and are moving forward rapidly with preparations for our season.

Winter Percussion - Please see attached medical authorization form to be used.  There were two versions in packet that was handed out on Thursday.  This attached version needs to be notarized and submitted.

 

SLC Challenge!

We are reaching out to the current SLC group to challenge the sections to see who can get the highest percentage of their section to work the Dome.

Many of you that have worked the Dome stand know it is a fun experience, especially when you are working with your friends!

Reach out to your individual sections and work with the Dome Coordinators to schedule shifts that are open for the upcoming games.

We can assist with providing transportation especially on the weekday games that start in the late afternoon.

What’s in it for you guys?

1.  An opportunity to hang with your friends from Marching Band while earning money for your student account getting a great start on next year's fees.

2.  Bragging rights on who has the best section that will get in the Band Notes, Website and Facebook.

3.  Helping keep the Dome Stand alive so that we bring in over $20,000 a year and continue to have great trips going forward.

Christmas Wreaths - 22”-24” Frazier Fir Christmas Wreath with bow.  These gorgeous FRESH wreaths are being supplied to us by Chengerian’s Tree Land-in Fulton.  Wreaths sell for only $20, $4 from each sold will go into your student account.

Orders are PRE-SALE only and ALL orders and money are due on Monday 11/23.   Joan Mashayekhi will be at Wetzel Road Elementary at 8:45 pm to collect orders.   Target delivery date will be the 1st week of December.

Avon Fundraiser is  open to ALL members of the Warriors Marching program.  If you would like to get a head start on next Seasons Participation Fee please contact Maureen Wood to arrange a pick-up of the packet, 30% of the order (less the processing charge) goes to your student account . Pepperoni Sale

We will once again this year be offering the pepperoni fundraiser Information will come out in next Sundays Band notes.

There are still plenty of Midas Oil Change Coupons left from this season's fund raiser.   Coupon sell for $20 and $10 will be credited to your student account for each sold.  Coupons expire 5/31/16.  If interested, contact Joan Mashayekhi @   a-mash@verizon.net.  

 

Destiny USA Candy Bar Event (Please see attachments for available shifts)

We have been given the opportunity again to sell candy bars at Destiny USA on the weekends during the holidays.

 

This is a great way for members under 16 to put money in their student accounts.  Last year 2 varsity members earned over $100 each!

 

We have secured the following dates:  Black Friday, 11/27;  Saturday, 11/28 and the remaining Saturdays leading up to Christmas - 12/5, 12/12 and 12/19.

 

We will staff the table for sales from 9am until 9pm.

It will be divided into 2 hour shifts.  We will have a maximum of 2 slots per shift plus 1 adult for supervision (adult does not receive credit)

 

 Student Accounts

Final statements have been sent out.

Members participating in the Winter Season will have balances rolled over to the Winter Account. Balance overages can be applied to Winter Season deposits.

Winter Season deposits are due by 12/1. There are 3 Dome events between now and 12/1, sign up and work towards your deposit

 

Benchmark 5 - Final Payment was due on October 15th.

Banquet payments will be applied to student account if account not paid up

 If you plan on participating in the Winter Season your Fall Fees must be paid. 

 All members should have a minimum of $500 in their account.

If you are in the process of fundraising or signed up to work the Dome, you can subtract this from your benchmark.  Just email Maureen about this so she knows.

Dome Concessions

The Band Season may be over but there is still opportunities for members (16 and over ) and parents to bond, have fun, and start earning student account credits towards next season.

Never worked the Dome before, don't worry we will get you a "Dome Buddy".  Car Pooling and shuttling will be arranged for those who need it.

Make it a "Section Bonding" event, get together with the members and parents from your section and work together.

If your child is 16 or over and wants to work for his/her account but transportation is an issue....we can help!  Many parents would be willing to transport if they are working the same game.  Contact Becky or Wendy to discuss.

No more than 1/3 of the staffing can be under 18; we must have a 2 adult to 1 minor ratio. Get friends and family to work with you, 3 people working a basketball game for the same member would place around $90 in your student account.

 You can cover all of next year's participation fees before the season even starts!

Winter Guard/Percussion Parents this is a great way to get a head start on your participation fee before the Winter Season starts.

Workers earn $6/hour.  For a typical football game workers earned around $42 and for basketball it’s around $30.  Workers must be at least 16 years of age (this is a Dome Policy) and family and friends can work towards your account. We need a minimum of 19 volunteers for all events.

Band/Guard/Percussion members are encouraged to work games that do not conflict with rehearsals/competitions.

Yes! Family, Friends even Alumni can work for your account.

 New This Year!

Families that work 5 different games earn a $50 bonus in their student account.

What do we do at the Dome???

SU Basketball Season has just started and there are many games in need of workers. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity. We are responsible for preparing all the food that will be sold, fully staffing the stand during each scheduled event, and cleaning up afterwards.  We need cashiers, soda pourers, runners, prepare nachos, and grill workers.

If you have never managed or money managed but are interested in doing so, see Becky Clifford or Wendy Solberg to get trained and booster board approved. You will receive an additional $25 for each game you manage.

 

 

 All Seniors - Please note that you will be kept on the current list of e-mail recipients until graduation in June and therefore will continue to receive periodic e-mails concerning the Boosters during the Winter season.  At that point your information, along with those of your parents/guardians, will be transferred to our Alumni lists.

Those parents who still have members participating will remain on the standard lists.

 

Candy Sales

Sign out a case of 60 candy bars and earn $24 towards your student account by turning in the funds raised from each case.  These bars practically sell themselves!! 

Dave Martini will be at Wetzel Road Elementary, at pick up time, Monday and Wednesday nights.  Candy will be available to pickup and money can be handed in at that time.

Due to the many locations and different nights of practice:

JV, Cadet, and Winter percussion members should directly contact Kelly Martini @ 457-7437 to obtain a case or to make arrangements to turn in money.

DON’T FORGET!!!  You can also add to your student account by bringing your returnable bottles to MSK Bottles& Cans on Route 57. 

Let them know that you wish your deposit refund to be applied against your student's account or you can have the monies applied to the general fund!

When bringing your bottles to MSK, please make sure you record the member's name legibly.  We want to make sure all accounts are credited properly.

 

The Boosters are You!  The Marching Band Boosters is an organization consisting of parents and guardians who would like to participate in the direction of the Liverpool Marching Warriors. 

 

The goal of the Booster organization is to support the Marching Band Program; to develop and carry out fundraising and other projects which assist with keeping actual out of pocket costs as low as possible; to help promote the Marching Band programs within the school district and the greater community. 

 

EMPLOYER VOLUNTEER GRANTS

Some area employers (ex. AETNA , BEST BUY, and VERIZON) will give grants to non-profit organizations that their employees volunteer for. Check with your employer and see if such a program exists at your place of employment
