Band Notes 5/10/15

Participation in the Memorial Day Parade is mandatory for ALL 2014 members
 
Memorial Day Parade rehearsals will take place at LHS on following dates:
          Monday, May 11th, 5:45-8:30pm
          Monday, May 18th, 5:45-8:30pm
          Monday, May 25th, 8am report time (HS aged students only - this is a FULL
          uniformed performance)

May General Booster Meeting is
Monday, May 11th 6:00PM
Liverpool High School
room 903
Drop off your child for Parade Rehearsal and stop in.
The 2015 Budget will be up for a vote at this meeting.
The LHSMBB is you!  Please attend so you know what is going on and can have a say.

The LHSMBB is a volunteer organization, volunteers are needed to chair the following events. Please contact Joan Mashayekhi at a-mash@verizon.net if you would like to shadow a current chairperson with the intent to continue in the role the following season.   Shadows are needed for the following events:
 
          Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast
          Bottle Drive (2 shadows)
          Car Wash
          Fall Home Show Coordinator
          Fall Home Show Concessions
          Frozen Foods/Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough
Uniforms (2-3 shadows)
Marching Band Open House – Tuesday June 2nd . Veteran parents are strongly encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to meet incoming parents and share your Marching Band experiences with those who are considering participation! Parents will meet in the new Senior Cafeteria (Room 902/904) at TBD. Refreshments will be served. Every member will receive a current Student Account Statement at Open House on June 2nd so that you will know what the current balance/credit on the account is. Any current credits may be used toward your $100 deposit.

Band Camp for the 2015 Marching season is the week of August 10th-14th.  Please keep these dates in mind when planning your summer travel plans.  Band Camp is MANDATORY for all who plan to march in the upcoming season!!!

Calling all Parents!!!
We are looking for volunteers to be “Booster Buddies". A Booster Buddy is a veteran parent that will be teamed up with a new parent in their section to help answer any questions that they may have. The Boosters are you!
 
Boosters Club membership is open to all parents and legal guardians of current LHS Marching Band, Winter Guard & Percussion Ensemble Members.
 
The Boosters is simply an organization consisting of parents, guardians, and current Band/Guard members who would like to participate in the direction of the Liverpool Marching Warriors.
 
It is the goal of the Booster organization to support the Marching Band Fall & Winter Programs; to develop and carry out fundraising and other projects which assist with keeping actual out of pocket costs as low as possible and to help promote the Marching Band Fall & Winter programs within the school district and the greater community
 
The success of the program depends greatly on the efforts of volunteer parents. There are many opportunities to pitch in and help the booster organization, and your help is definitely welcome and appreciated. You will find that the more involved you become in this activity, the more you appreciate what a great opportunity this is for these kids.
